This period painting depicts the American Civil War ships Sabina and Franklin Ville Franche port 1869. This painting depicts the crews of both ships
the village port of Ville Franche and many of the village residents. The painting is singed lower left "Ville Franche" Dec 16 1869 Sabina and lower right Franklin W. R. May USN. The painting was restored in 1998 by the Lyman Allen Museum in New London CT. The frame measures 44 and one half by 31 and one half inches and the canvas measures 26 by 40 inches.This is an important American Maritime Historical painting painted by one of the crew members. This painting was found in a New London CT. estate.

American Federal work table
bible stand c1822 Joel Curtis. This period mahogany work stand is attributed to Joel Curtis in NY c1822. Excellent condition with superior solid mahogany top and curved cut out sides. The base has a center turned pedestal that ends in four fluted legs. The bottom has lovely large hand cut dovetails and original brass casters. Measures 32 and three quarter inches high by 22 and one half inches wide
and 16 and one quarter inches deep. Replaced brasses. One of the best pieces of Period American Federal furniture we have come across in a long time.

This antique French gilt mantel clock measures 22 inches high

and is 8 inches deep. Movement has been cleaned and runs very well. It dates from the mid 19th century. The matching candelabras each measuring 24" high . It is rare to find a matching set from this period of this quality intact. Made in Paris
France.

Indian marble round pedestal table measuring 60 inches in diameter by 29 inches high. This rare inlaid marble table was made to order in Agra
India
in 2001. It has over 6000 pieces of blue and brown lapis
green malachite
and honey agate set into the surface. The table base can be uplit from inside to illuminate the design. The table is in perfect condition and easily seats 8. The artisans commissioned to create it worked on it for 18 months. They are the finest stone carvers in India
from the same firm responsible for repairing the marble work on the Taj Mahal. This exquisite
dramatic table would be stunning on a sheltered veranda or atrium
